Eligibility Criteria & Essay Prompt

To be considered for the John Ramirez Jr. First Generation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a current undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university within the United States.
  • Be a first-generation college student, defined as a student whose parents or legal guardians have not completed a four-year bachelor’s degree.
  • Submit a complete application package, including a personal essay responding to the prompt below, by the stated deadline.
